Hello Friends:

So with our first season under our belts we are very proud to tell you all that we had a great summer! We do have to admit that it was a little overwhelming and that with so many changes happening so fast there were time where we thought, “What did we do?!”. But with our great families and all you “seasoned” guests, we pulled through!

We made a few changes right off the hop, with all new motors for our upgrade boats, a few small cosmetic changes in and around the cabins, and had to winterize the main lodge as we will now be living out here year round.

Over the winter we will continue to upgrade our motors (some 20′s will be done) and we have now added a 50hp to our fleet. We will see how things go and are going to try to change cabin 3 around a bit too! It was a 6 bed, open concept cabin, that we are going to put bedrooms in. This cabin was underused and really has a great view of the lake and could be so much more comfortable. We will work on that!

We also have plans to do a bear hunt in the late summer/fall. We will have more information on this for all you hunters in the future, but if you are interested…. let us know. We will only be doing a few groups.

We have entered into the Cedar Falls/Waterloo trade show in March at the Unidome. We are looking at doing one more, but just have to figure out where! There are just too many to choose from! We wish we could do more, but time really is an issue. Hope to see some of you out there!

We do have to say “Thanks” to all of you who spent time with us this summer. We enjoyed each and every one of you! Ian only wishes that he had more time to spend with you all! His “other” job really put a damper on things! We are going to work on that this winter as well, and see if he can spend more time here at camp to help you all out and maybe get out fishing with you next summer.

The kids are really missing all of our guests as well and Quintin talks about his new friends to anyone who will listen! (Man this kid has a gift for gab!) He will be dressing up for Halloween as “Mantracker” this year! Yes… He is still on that kick! What a kid! I am sure he will have some great stores for all of you next summer!

Again… It was wonderful to meet all you great people and we cant wait to see you all again in 2012!
