Hello Friends:

So it has been far too long since our last update!  Ian and I are sitting in Duluth, MN right now at the Duluth Boat, Sports, Travel and RV show. It has been a fairly good show so far.  Have seen a few familiar faces and a lot of new one, and are hoping to get a few new bookings.

Our 2013 season is quickly approaching and things are booking up pretty good.  Looking to be a better summer than last.  We are headed to Des Moines, IA in a couple weeks too.  We will be at the Deer Classic there for the first weekend in March.  I KNOW we will see a lot of friendly faces at that show!!

Been a busy fall and winter so far for us.  We are continuing to do some upgrades and renos to the cabins.  Looking at trading in one of our upgrades for a new boat and motor, and are having a “common room” built between cabin 5 and 7.  So now you will have a place to “watch the game”, or to have a game of cards or two!

This winter has been a busy one.  Between the kids and their hockey and Ian being back to work, time is just flying by.  Ian has managed to get out to do some ice fishing a couple of times and between him and the “word on the street”, the ice fishing is great!   We are DEFINITELY winterizing one cabin this summer so we can offer ice fishing packages next winter!  We are very excited about this.  All it will take is one trip up here and a few days out on some of the lakes ice fishing and you will be hooked!  (No pun intended!)

Ian has been toying with the idea of starting up a wolf hunt.  He has been out baiting a few sites and the hits on them have been good… even had a lynx on one site.  Our trailcam has picked up some awesome shots!

Our Bear hunt is in full swing now.  We have even managed to acquire some new areas for that.  Now just need to fill our tags and we will be happy!  We baited one site last fall and the bear on it were pretty impressive.  I even managed to sit up in the tree stand a few nights.  It was very cool… We even had a moose come in to the site!
