We just wanted to post a quick note to say a big hello to all our friends and to all those friends whom we have not yet had the pleasure to meet. We are well into the 2010 season already…..it’s been an extremely busy one for us – it’s hard to believe we only have five more weeks until we begin to close up camp again for the winter. It seems the older you get, the faster time flies by……not sure what logarithmic function applies here but I know I don’t like it.

While the weather continues to throw regular curve balls our way, fishing has been spectacular overall. In general; Walleye fishing has been excellent – good numbers of eaters are being caught regularly and we’ve had several trophy Walleye (29.5″) caught and released (I’ll post some new pictures as soon as time permits). The quality of Northern fishing also remained pretty spectacular but there were some periods during the summer when the numbers appeared to be down. That seems to be turning around now however – just last week one of our groups told me about their “secret spot” where they landed a large number of big pike…..five of which were over 40 inches…..of which two were 44 inch Hogs!
